Why I Ran A 5K This Morning

As I proceeded to create my running photo for this morning, after taking my traditional selfie, I began thinking about how I really want to frame beyond just the obvious health benefits. Since I was blessed to make a trip last year to Africa I have photos that can tell way more of the story than a few of my words. This village in Sierra Leone had a hole in the ground, dried up in this photo, about a mile away to gather water from. This village also had a school of children. This village was in dire need for the sort of well that helps to put in all across Africa. This is what means to me, what my commitment is about. My drive comes from wanting to see these children grow up knowing that there is hope for a better future.
