First Long Run Of The New Year

I’m thankful for the nice weather this evening, and for making it back safely from Minnesota, to get my long run in tonight. It was a tough one doing it at night and all alone. You don’t realize how many miles a running partner gets you through without you even feeling it until you don’t have one on those long runs. I’m looking forward to getting back to a normal routine again. Not that I’m happy with just the status quo, but being back in a controlled environment where it’s easier to stick to the good habits and resist the bad ones. I’m looking forward to what the new year holds for me both in my running and every other area of my life.
