Fighting the Urge to Just Go Back to Bed

Today was one of those mornings where after the alarm went off I ended spending the next 15 minutes debating with myself whether I should get ready to go run or just go back to bed and get some more sleep. I’m happy to say that running won today.

I will say that probably what pushed me to get out there was happening to read the challenge from the Twitter Running group I saw posted on Strava.

When you’ve been running solo for a year after enjoying running with people regularly for a few years prior it takes a lot more motivation to keep it going. I’d like to say that raising money for clean water was enough, but this has been a challenging fund raising year as well. When it doesn’t feel like your running is really making a difference it’s also hard to want to get out there and get some more miles in.

Working Hard To Make It Easy

This morning during my prayer and worship time I immediately thought of the #EnableTheChildren staff and kids and the impact that rainy season has on them. I also focused on the #WorldHope teams as they work on drilling new wells. Praying for safety and success as the teams work to put the wells in that the #HWI team raised money for. #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon

It was cold, wet, windy, and snowy for the #HotCiderHustle this morning, but it was fun to see a few #HWI teammates out on a Saturday morning. I didn’t bring home any medal but I still felt really good about my run given the ground conditions. I made sure to wear my pullover cleats which…
