Running Is My One On One Time

It’s still a little bit to get used to doing these longer “midweek” runs on a Monday instead of a Tuesday, but I think I’m getting into a groove with it. It’s nice to have a long “easy” run on a Monday where is can spend a lot of time listening to worship music, listening for God’s direction, and presenting the needs of friends and family to Him. I can honestly say that getting our for a morning run has not only been good for my physical health but it’s had a huge impact on my spiritual health as well. I do enjoy group runs but there is something to be said for having time where it’s just you, the pavement, and God.

I spent some time this morning thinking about and praying specifically for the village of Ronkorhun, Sierra Leone, the village that I visited that was in so desperate need of water. I need to contact the pastor that traveled with us to find out how they are coming along. I’m trusting that God has the plan in motion for the people of Ronkorhun.

    Just A Short Tuesday Run

It was nice to sleep in a little before doing the short run, especially given my #Endomondo training plan has me on a 5 run per week schedule. The only problem with these short runs is that I get a little too caught up in my speed. I love having the worship workout music pumping me up to full speed. It was pretty warm out already at 5am. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRMarathon

Sluggish Training Run But Thinking of ETC

Another training run in the books. I could definitely feel the soreness in my legs from the half marathon still. I could also tell that some bad eating the previous few days was affecting how I was feeling while running. I really need to get back on track with things. I did enjoy another day…

Why I Run, Ronkorhun And Hope Water

Even though it was still humid the temperature was for sure cooler this morning when I stepped out the door. I got some good sprints in. I spent some time thinking about the village of #Ronkorhun , and the people I met there, praying that God would revitalize the people and draw them to Him….
  • A 10K To Kick Off The Week

Did someone turn back the clock? I thought the winter running was well behind us, and I was enjoying shedding some of the layers. It made for tougher running when I had a harder time getting some traction. It was still an good time to be out and getting some miles in. #HWI #Run4Water #WhyIRun…
