How Often Do We Use Water?

In the U.S. pretty much everyone has running water where they live. How much water do we use in a day? Showers, meals, washing dishes and clothes, using the bathroom, watering the flowers/garden/lawn, making coffee/tea/other drinks. What if you had to walk 2-5 miles to get a jug of water, maybe even river or pond water? Can you imagine what it would be like to have clean, drinkable, water just down the block? While we might still consider having to go even a block to get more water and inconvenience, think about the life change close access to clean water actually makes in the lives of those that don’t have it.
